Well, it’s been quite some time since I last blogged.
(Over a year and a half to be exact, but who’s counting?)
To be honest, I am attempting to wrack my brain in an effort to find the reason behind this absence. Did some major life event cause me to disappear? You know, the ones that doctors often ask on those long questionnaires in order to assess your well-being. Hmm, let’s see: Career change? Nope, still teaching and coaching. Move? Nope, still in South Florida and loving where I live (minus the sultry summer days). Marriage? It was thought about a year or two ago, but things just didn’t work out. Children? It would be great to adopt a few Kenyan orphans, but that hasn’t happened yet either.
So, what on earth happened, you might ask?
THE SIMPLE ANSWER: LIFE
And as you and I both know, life is not so simple.
The busyness of “the daily grind” just got to be too much…
And so, An Inch of Hope (this ‘lil’ blog) got put on the back burner,…
So much so, that it nearly disappeared for good!
But what I’ve found recently is this: an itch to tell more of my story and an itch to encourage others with it.
And so, I joined Daniela Uslan’s “The 10 Day Blog Makeover Challenge.”
We had to define our mission statement today, and so here’s mine:
I write about simple living in order to help women dealing with the craziness of life find hope, even if it’s just an inch at a time. I do this because I believe we all need a reminder to stop, breathe, and enjoy the present for what it is, a gift to be enjoyed.
I can’t wait for what’s in store,
