Free Quality Fonts You Should Download Now | Fall Edition

According to Gerrit Noordzij, typography is defined as “writing with prefabricated letters.”

And typography, my friends, is a beautiful thing.

With the availability of amazing resources on the web, there is no reason (other than time, knowledge, or the amount of limitless options) not to add some quality typefaces to your Font Book.  Gone are the days when Times New Roman should be the only typeface you use. It’s time to spice up your life with a few new fonts that are the best of the best!

After hours of searching font sites, I bring you four typefaces that scream, “Happy fall, ya’ll!”  (Did I seriously just write that?)  Each of the four typefaces featured in this post were created by graphic designers who know their craft and do it well.

So without further adieu, I present to you, “Font Favorites | Fall Edition.”

“Font Favorites | Fall Edition”

Give Thanks | Notera | by Mans Greback
Monster Mash | Love Monster | by Brittney Murphy
Pumpkin Patch | Linus’ Pumpkin | by Darcy Baldwin
Mad for Plaid | Homestead |  by Luke Lisi

[Mac Users:  To download the typeface, click on the font name, download, unzip, open the .otf file, add to font book, and sit back and enjoy! PC Users:  Click here to checkout Microsoft’s How-to tutorial.]

I can’t wait to see these fonts in action wherever you decide to use them…
Be certain to share with me when you do so!

Happy designing,

  1. What fun! I have a baby shower coming up with a few projects that I wanted to use some fall fonts with and these are great selections! I look forward to trying them out! I love fonts!!!

    1. Thanks so much, Kuhiwa!
I can totally see “Notera” paired with “Linus’ Pumpkin” for that baby shower event!
I have a major love for fonts too!

      Let’s stay in touch…

  2. Oh, this is my favorite post of the three I read (the other on the kitchen and another on the desktop download). I love fonts and the opportunity to design with them. Unfortunately, I’m a little late to the game (it’s November 15)…but maybe I could somehow incorporate these into some of my Thanksgiving ideas. That would be awesome. I will let you know if I do! Thanks for sharing these–I can see this becoming a regular feature on your blog; useful and impressive! 🙂

    1. You are welcome, D.A.
And I can totally see the Notera font being used for those Thanksgiving ideas…
I plan on sending out a Christmas & Winter Edition in the near future, so stay tuned…
      Thank you for your feedback.

      Let’s stay in touch…

  3. Love this! I love the idea of creating so many things, but it’s always helpful to get helpful ideas and of course, some new fonts!
